Pivotrap Terms of Service

By playing Pivotrap you agree to these terms. Play fair, keep your player name decent, and don't attack our servers. If you break these rules we may remove your name or scores, or block you from online play.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Compound Basic LLC ("we", "us"), the maker of Pivotrap. They apply wherever you play the game, including CrazyGames.com, our website and any mobile version. Our Privacy Policy explains what information the game collects.

If you play on a game portal such as CrazyGames, that portal's own terms also apply to your use of its site.

Who may play

Pivotrap is suitable for ages 12 and up. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you.

Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-commercial, revocable licence to play Pivotrap. The game, its code, art, sounds, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, resell, rehost, decompile or modify the game, or make it available on other websites, except as the law allows. Streaming and sharing videos of your games is welcome.

Fair play

When you play online, you agree not to:

  • cheat, including by modifying the game, sending fake moves or results, or using bots in ranked matches;

  • boost your rank by playing against your own second account or arranging results with another player;

  • choose a player name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, impersonates someone, or includes personal information such as a real name or contact details;

  • harass other players;

  • flood, overload, probe or attack our servers, or try to get around their limits;

  • use the game for anything illegal.

If we believe you have broken these rules, we may, without notice, rename or hide your player name, remove or reset your scores and record, or block you from online play and the leaderboard. Results that our servers can't verify may not be counted.

Online play and the leaderboard

Online matches and the leaderboard are offered as they are, for fun. We may change, pause, reset or end them at any time, for example to fix a problem or start a new season. Points, ranks and records have no cash value and can't be sold, traded or transferred.

Your player ID and record are stored with your browser or device. If you clear your browser's data or change devices, your record may be lost, and we may not be able to recover it.

Online play needs an internet connection and can be interrupted by connection problems. A match that doesn't finish on both sides may not be ranked.

Other platforms and services

The game runs on services we don't control, such as CrazyGames, Unity and our server host. Their availability and terms are their own, and we are not responsible for them.

Purchases

The game is free and has no purchases today. If we later offer something to buy, such as removing ads, the terms of the store you buy it from (for example the App Store or Google Play) cover payment and refunds.

Disclaimer

Pivotrap is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free, always available, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost scores, ranks or data. Our total liability to you for any claim about the game is limited to US $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer where you live.

Ending your use

You can stop playing at any time. We may suspend or end your access to online features if you break these terms, or stop offering the game.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU, the UK or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you keep those protections and may bring claims in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
